What you get
API access is gated
X's media endpoints sit behind paid, rate-limited API tiers with strict redistribution rules. A free public downloader cannot be run compliantly on top of them.
What you can do today
Request your archive from Settings, then 'Download an archive of your data', to retrieve the media you posted.
No fake buttons
We would rather show this as unavailable than ship an input box that fails silently.
